At Grupo Alimentario Copese we accredit the quality of all our products. For this we have some of the highest certifications, granted by independent, prestigious organisms, which guarantee strict compliance with all the requirements. We currently have the following:
Our culares, strings and jars, in all formats, under the ERESMA brand, have the Tierra de Sabor seal. The purpose of this guarantee seal is to distinguish certain high-quality agricultural products on the market that have been produced, prepared and/or transformed in the area of Castile and León, and that meet the conditions and the quality requirements specified in its Regulations for Use. The use of this seal certifies compliance with these quality requirements and allows consumers to identify them accurately.
Our Iberian hams, shoulders and sausages are Certified by Calicer, in accordance with Royal Decree 4/2014 and later modifications, which approves the Quality Standard for Iberian meat, ham, shoulder and loin. It is CALICER (certifying company and authorized by ENAC to certify compliance with the Iberian Quality Standard) who certifies that our products meet the requirements demanded in the Iberian Quality Standard. Our file numbers are: PI/0245/05 for Eresma Elaborados and PI/0947/19 for Hola Food.
All our products have the SAE certificate, certified by Calicer, with file number EX/0763/16 for Eresma Elaborados SL and EX/0945/19 for Hola Food. This audited system of specific self-controls is intended for the export of products for human consumption to third countries whenever the destination country requires additional health requirements to those of the European Union regulations and/or when it requires the existence of a specific list of exporting establishments authorized to export to that country.
We have IAWS-G-080-1 carcass sales certificates for farms and IAWS-I-055-1 for slaughterhouses. This seal guarantees that the products of certified operators strictly comply with the procedures established in the IAWS Technical Regulation for white-coat pigs. In addition, the rest of the livestock-meat species in Spain are also covered by the different Technical Regulations of the respective certification schemes of the “Animal Welfare Commitment” seal, developed by the six Interprofessional Organizations based on the criteria and elements established by ENAC (the National Accreditation Entity), in order to obtain their accreditable certification recognition. “B+ COMPROMISO BIENESTAR ANIMAL” and the respective certification schemes that support it are in a continuous process of verification and improvement, with the objective of recognition and accreditation by ENAC.
Hola Food is Welfair® certified for carcass sales. It is an independent certificate approved by the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA) that evaluates and controls the quality of animal welfare in farms, growing areas and slaughterhouses, in an exhaustive way. The Welfair® certificate allows both producers and slaughterhouse managers to know the animal welfare status of white layer pigs in their facilities, thus promoting a continuous improvement in terms of good, respectful and sustainable practices.
Eresma is also part of Alimentos de Segovia, a guarantee seal committed to the quality of products made in the Segovia province. In addition, it serves as link for connecting and promoting the wide variety of companies and products linked to our land.
At Eresma Elaborados and Hola Food we are members of Ecoembes, which means we declare the packaging we generate. As we’re subscribed to the SIG (managed by Ecoembes), the packaging of our products sold on the national market are identified with the Green Dot symbol, which guarantees that we’re complying with the Packaging law.
At Grupo Alimentario Copese, we have three defibrillators (one at the Salinas Meat Center facilities, another at the Group’s headquarters and the third at the Hola Food facilities), so our facilities are “Cardiac protected areas”. A cardiac protected area is one that has the necessary facilities to attend to a person in the first minutes of a cardiac arrest, since time is a determining factor.
